N RANCHO’S WEST

This was Paul’s first large piece ever completed. It is inspired by his late grandfather on his mother’s side, Jose “Joe” Soto Ybarbo, and his roots that lead back to Nacogdoches, Texas. Paul is a descendant of Don Antonio Gil Ybarbo, who was a pioneering settler of Nacogdoches. N Rancho’s West is a nod to Paul’s roots and his family history, which is interwoven with Texas history.
